The first layer of security involves detecting potential threats or intrusions. Radars are critical in this step due to their ability to cover vast areas and detect movements accurately, regardless of weather conditions or obstacles. Once a potential threat is detected, observation is crucial. A high-quality camera, like the Starling Q62, is necessary to observe the area with high-resolution imaging. Good camera quality is essential to deliver clear visuals for the next step, which is video analytics. The better the image quality, the more accurate the analysis will be, especially in challenging visibility conditions.
AI video analytics takes the visual data from the camera and classifies it. Camera agnostic and on moving PTZ cameras. Day/Night, IR and thermal.

Mitigation can involve various responses, such as deploying security personnel, locking down systems, or using deterrents. Audio warnings can be an initial non-lethal response. The Starling Q62 offers more advanced mitigation capabilities with its long-range searchlight and optional laser dazzler, which can be used to warn, deter, or disorient an intruder, thereby mitigating the threat without physical confrontation.
