Wide area surveillance
Drawing upon a decade of expertise in outdoor surveillance and perimeter systems, we present our comprehensive 5-step model which we have created solutions around for the last years. Leveraging the synergy between cutting-edge technology and practical experience, we deliver robust security solutions that encompass our process.
The first layer of security involves detecting potential threats or intrusions. Radars are critical in this step due to their ability to cover vast areas and detect movements accurately, regardless of weather conditions or obstacles. Radars provide an early warning system, giving security personnel a head start in responding to potential threats.
Once a potential threat is detected, observation is crucial. A high-quality camera, like the Starling Q62, is necessary to observe the area with high-resolution imaging. Good camera quality is essential to deliver clear visuals for the next step, which is video analytics. The better the image quality, the more accurate the analysis will be, especially in challenging visibility conditions.
AI video analytics takes the visual data from the camera and classifies it. Camera agnostic and on moving PTZ cameras. Day/Night, IR and thermal.
This technology can distinguish between different types of objects, such as humans, cars, vessels, bikes etc and determine whether they pose a threat. This classification step is vital for reducing false alarms and ensuring that security resources are allocated efficiently.
Identification involves confirming the nature and threat level of the target. This can be achieved by integrating additional information from AIS (for maritime traffic), ADS-B (for aircraft), or GPS (for ground assets). These systems provide precise identification data that can help differentiate between known and unknown entities, authorized and unauthorized activities.
The final step is to address the threat in a manner that neutralizes or reduces the risk. Mitigation can involve various responses, such as deploying security personnel, locking down systems, or using deterrents. Audio warnings can be an initial non-lethal response. The Starling Q62 offers more advanced mitigation capabilities with its long-range searchlight and optional laser dazzler, which can be used to warn, deter, or disorient an intruder, thereby mitigating the threat without physical confrontation.
Stealthy and Covert: Criminals won't even know they're being watched. Radar operates silently and doesn't emit any visible beams, making it an ideal choice for discreet protection.
Customizable Zones: Tailor your radar system to meet your specific needs. Define different detection zones and set up alerts accordingly, ensuring maximum security where it's needed most.
Cost-Effective: Radar technology offers a cost-efficient solution compared to traditional security personnel or complex camera networks. It's a one-time investment that pays off for years to come.
Rapid Detection: Radar systems are designed to instantly detect any movement within their coverage area, providing you with real-time alerts. Whether it's a potential intruder or wildlife, radar doesn't miss a beat.
Unparalleled Accuracy: Unlike traditional security measures that might trigger false alarms due to weather conditions or small animals, radar technology distinguishes between real threats and minor disturbances. You can trust it to focus on what truly matters.
Day and Night Vigilance: Darkness is no obstacle for radar. It operates flawlessly in low-light or no-light conditions, ensuring 24/7 surveillance and peace of mind.
